Exhibition Text

Broken Flowers brings together digital paintings, resin prototypes, and hand-drawn works that trace estrangement, recovery, and dream imagery through post-digital craft. Created during a period of physical separation from the artist’s studio, the works revisit an earlier script written in 2015 during residency in Viborg, a seven-minute scenario about two kids falling in love on top of a ruined skyscraper.

For LAID BUG, the script was reimagined as four digital prints with hand-drawn characters and a central sculptural figure, FL5000. The exhibition meditates on technological intimacy, balancing machine-rendered surfaces with fragile handmade marks.

『Broken Flowers』は、デジタル・ペインティング、レジン原型、そして手描きのドローイングを組み合わせたシリーズであり、疎外、回復、そして夢のイメージをポストデジタルの手仕事を通して追跡している。
アーティストがスタジオから物理的に離れていた時期に制作され、2015年にデンマーク・ヴィボーで書かれた短い脚本を再訪する作品群である。その脚本は、廃墟となった高層ビルの上で恋に落ちる二人の若者を描いた7分間のシナリオである。

LAID BUGでの展示では、その脚本をもとに、手描きのキャラクターと中央の彫刻的フィギュア「FL5000」を含む4点のデジタルプリントとして再構成した。
展示は、機械的に生成された表面と繊細な手描きの痕跡との間にある、テクノロジーと親密さの関係を静かに見つめる。

ブルー・クリスタル・スパイダー（Blue Crystal Spider）シリーズのアートプリントは、アルミニウムのケースに収められている。

Curatorial note

The works include digital paintings on fine Japanese mesh and paper (Blue Crystal Spider, Out of the Blue), accompanied by acrylic and ink drawings that expand the same fictional world.
Broken Flowers also connects conceptually to the ongoing Electric Dogs cycle,
both exploring the emotional residue of synthetic life and the reprogramming of desire through technology.

“Broken Flowers captures the quiet violence of separation and the will to rebuild a world from fragments. The exhibition translates the intimacy of a digital file into a tactile, breathing object. Tea’s universe grows through small mutations and perfect blue.”
